To get to Buffalo Trail Scout Ranch(BTSR) you'll find the sign pictured at the top about seven miles south of Toyahvale, Texas on highy 17. That's right, you can barely see it but the sign says 12 miles. After your westward turn on to Ranch Road 1832 and about a mile up the road you'll see the next sign " Dead End- 11 miles. When you're almost to the "Ranch" you'll come to our gate. Then onward through another dip or two and around another bend or two and you drive across the cattle guard to the left of the "Welcome" sign the pavement ends and you're here!!!

The next three pics below are of the Dining Hall. It seats about 350 at one time and is a great place for fellowship, fun, and the best camp chow anywhere.

The pic directly above reflects just how most of the facilities on the ranch were built. As a matter of fact there are only three structures that were built by contract labor and materials- a new restroom and shower building, a new First Aid Building, and the Camp Rangers Home. The rest was built by volunteer labor and donated materials.

Here is the Camp Rangers house. we have a full time, year round Camp Ranger living here with his family. His house is located a little farther down from Buffalo Hall and up the hill.

This is the Bunk House or more comonly referred to as "The Old Folks Home". This is where most of the Adult Staff is housed during Summer Camp. The sleeping quarters are upstairs and downstairs is a living area with restrooms, showers, and a kitchen. This building is located just across the road from the Rangers House.

About a hundred yards farther up the hill from the Bunk House and the Rangers House is our Chapel. It is a beautiful and quiet place to visit and reflect. We always remember a Scouts Duty to God and that a Scout is Reverent.

This huge building is Buffalo Hall. It was built in the early to mid 70s. At the near end is a store and at the far end is the Camp Rangers office. In between is a LARGE meeting room for all kinds of activities.
