Pictured above is my forge. This is where I heat the iron so that I can work it into whatever I'm making. It is fueled by butane. I know this is not what most of you think of when you think about blacksmiths, but since I live inside the city limits coal forges are not a good idea. They make too much smoke and put off what some folks would consider an offensive odor.
