Throwing Knife

throwknf1.jpg

Here are a couple photos of a throwing knife I recently made from 1/4" x 1 1/2" x 1 1/2" Mild steel angle iron. I got the idea of using angle iron from another blacksmith friend of mine. After heating and flatening out the iron there seems to be a little more material right down the center of it giving the finished knife more strength where it is needed to keep it from bending or breaking when throwing. the finished length of this knife is 13 1/2". I haven't worked up a price on it yet since the steel I made this knife from was a piece of scrap that I was given, but it wont be long until I do.

SKINNIN KNIFE-I

This knife is made from a much higher grade of steel and is more suited for cutting, and not at all intended for throwing. Prices for this type of knife start at $40.00/sheath not included. If you want a sheath made for it that will add another $20.00. All prices plus shipping and handling

TOMAHAWK

I currently am working on a small tomahawk or Mouse Hawk made from a railroad spike. I'm not sure what kind of steel the spike was made from, but I do know it must be pretty tough. It has been a real challenge to forge. Soon as I get it finished I'll add a picture to let you see it.

Kathys Hawks

Well, as you can see, I've finished the Mouse Hawk. It is the bottom one in the photo above. The top one is one that I purchased from Crazy Crow Trading Post for Singing Wolf, and a fine hawk it is too. The Mouse Hawk I made is light wieght and fully functional. It sells for $50.00 plus shipping and handling. The sheath sells for $10.00 plus S&H.

SKINNIN KNIFE-II

Here is a new Skinnin Knife I just completed. Again this one is NOT for throwin, just cuttin. It is about ten inches long with the handle being made from ebony wood. A knife like this sells for $40.00 plus shipping and handling. Singing Wolf made the sheath and it's not for sale, but I can make one for $20.00 plus S&H.
